Socal (Southampton Calor Gas Centre Ltd) established in 1989 and selling online since 1999. We are a family run business providing energy solutions and equipment through innovation and knowledge that improves the way we live today and for a sustainable future. We operate as the official Calor Gas distributor for Hampshire and South Wiltshire.
Our customers are very important to us, without their custom we would not exist. Our goal is to provide our customers with the correct goods at the right price within an agreed delivery schedule. We promise to do our best to achieve this, if we do not then we promise to do our utmost to put things right.
At our flagship gas appliance showroom here in Southampton, we sell anything and everything to do with gas and a whole lot more! As well as the obvious products, we specialize in 3 main areas:
- Outdoor Living products with an unrivaled range of barbecues, patio heaters and accessories on display year round.
- Leisure gas appliances for Camping, Caravans and Motorhomes, from the regulator to the cooker and every part in between. We’re the people to help you out.
- Marine gas appliances, from cookers to heaters, gas alarms to locker boxes if you can use it on or in a boat / yacht then we have know all about it.
We have a fleet of vehicles on the road for local gas deliveries in and around Southampton, including Hampshire and South Wiltshire
In addition, we also have a servicing department where we can repair and maintain all of your portable gas appliances.

Definitions
“We or Our or Us” means Southampton Calor Gas Centre Ltd
“You or Your” means the person whose order for the Goods is accepted by us
“Contract” means the Contract between the Buyer and the Company
“Goods” means Cylinder Gas and/or Appliances
“Working day” means any day excluding; Saturday, Sunday or a Public Holiday
General
We are registered in England and shall be governed by the English Law and shall submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts in respect of any dispute, suit or proceedings.
Price of Goods
All prices displayed or quoted are Retail Prices and are inclusive of VAT at the appropriate rate, unless otherwise stated. All prices are an “invitation to treat”.
Ownership
We shall retain ownership of all goods until full payment is received. The goods shall be at your risk immediately on receipt of the delivery.
Delivery
For addresses within the UK, our aim is to deliver your goods within 5 working days from the receipt of your order; however you can normally expect delivery to be made next working day. If we cannot deliver your order within 5 working days, we will either inform you at the time of order, contact you by telephone or email to arrange a delivery date.
We may contact you to confirm delivery of high value or fragile items.
We may decline to deliver if: We believe that it would be unsafe, unlawful or unreasonably difficult to do so; or the premises (or the access to them) are unsuitable for our vehicles if appropriate.
Guarantee
We offer a full 12 months guarantee on all products, which is supplemented in some cases by a longer manufacturers guarantee.
Complaints Handling Procedure
All comments will be treated in the strictest confidence in line with our published privacy policy. Queries will receive a response within 48 hours. The response will include an estimate on date and action required to resolve the query.
Intellectual Property Rights
All rights including copyright, design and trademark rights are owned by us.
Returns Policy
All goods, (excluding; sale items, special orders or custom or tailor made goods) can be refunded within 28 days with proof of purchase. After 28 days the goods maybe exchanged for goods of an equivalent valve or for a credit note to be used at a later date. We reserve the right to deduct a restocking charge. Cost of carriage in returning goods is not refundable.
Faulty goods can be exchanged within 28 days of purchase for a replacement or refund. After this date we reserve the right to repair the goods or arrange for their repair.
Termination
We may end this contract by notice to you in writing (such notice to have immediate effect), without affecting any other rights: –
•Except in the case of a genuine dispute, where you have failed to pay any amount which you owe us under this contract; or
•You commit any material breach of the terms and conditions of this contract
•You become insolvent
You may also cancel the contract as allowed under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. If you exercise that right, you will receive a full refund subject to a deduction of any direct cost of returning the goods.

We do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties, unless necessary as part the order process.
You consent to us using your personal data to administer and keep records of your orders and also to provide you with details of products or services we might interest to you. We will not pass your personal information to any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.
Typical data stored will be:

- Address
- Contact phone number
- Email address
- Order and accounting history
Data collected is:
- used to take and fulfil customer orders
- used to administer and enhance service
- Only disclose to third-parties for goods delivery purposes
Credit Card numbers are not sorted electronically, any hand written records are shredded immediately after use. Credit Card terminal rolls containing card numbers are stored in a secure location for 6 years as part of our statuary company record requirement, then, they are shredded.
